Why I Do This
A few years ago my kids lost their grandmother, the person who helped hold everything together. In the middle of grief, I made the call to step away from traditional work and build something I could run from home so I could actually be there for them.
Working for myself didn’t just give me flexibility; it made me way more productive. No commute, no office politics, just focused blocks of deep work between school runs and life. I could pour real energy into writing instead of being drained by someone else’s schedule.
That shift turned into 3+ years of sharpening my craft: corporate communications, SEO content, editing, ghostwriting ebooks, and even publishing my own fiction on the side. Along the way I learned what makes content connect, convert, and stick without fluff or fake hype.
These days I’m still a parent first. I get the juggle. The early mornings, the unexpected sick days, the guilt when work bleeds into family time.
